New ‘Saxon Science Liaison Office India’ opened
A fortnight ago, a Saxon delegation led by the Rector of TU Dresden, Prof Ursula Staudinger, travelled to India. The joyous occasion: the opening of a scientific coordination office based in Chennai, on behalf of the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism.
Prof. Jacques Rohayem, Managing Director of GWT, which is driving TU Dresden's onboarding programme in India, commented as follows: ‘We are very pleased to be able to accompany this important step in intensifying relations between Saxon universities and Indian scientists. As part of the Onboarding Programme India Initiative, the GWT will work specifically to shape the career prospects of excellent Indian students and will thus make an important contribution to strengthening excellence in research, education and industry in Saxony in the future.’
