Overview of the 26th Biomass Conference
vom 6. bis 7. Juli 2023 in Zittau
What role does biomass play in today's and tomorrow's energy supply?
The 26th symposium "Nutzung nachwachsender Rohstoffe - Biomass for Electricity and Heat", which was held in Zittau on July 6th and 7th, focused on the energy utilization of solid biomass in decentralized combined heat and power plants. The entire process chain was considered, from the cultivation, harvesting and processing of biomass to the conversion process for the provision of useful energy and the problem of residues.
The approximately 70 participants engaged in constructive talks and exciting discussions on technology, fuel supply and environmental protection in the use of biomass for heat and power.
The Saxon Ministry of the Environment was also represented by State Secretary Dr. Lippold, who opened the event together with the Rector of the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Professor Alexander Kratzsch.
