GWT supports new study on the effectiveness of the innovative RUBI-Glas blood filter glasses
Emergency workers of all kinds, whether they are volunteer firefighters, technical relief organisations, the armed forces or first responders, are often confronted with situations in which people are injured to such an extent that they can no longer get rid of these images. The result is sleepless nights, increased irritability, tension, anxiety... summarised as post-traumatic stress disorder.
RUBI-Glass spectacles have specially coated lenses that reflect the colour spectrum of blood and show it as black, while other colours remain unchanged. The use of RUBI-Glass goggles is intended to increase the alertness and attention of emergency personnel and, most importantly, reduce their own risk of post-traumatic stress disorder.
This effectiveness is now being investigated as part of a "low interventional study" supervised by the GWT.
