Event highlights in November
Our metabolism and its role in cardiovascular risk prevention were the focus of the online event “Metabolism Update” on November 5.
Among other topics, approaches for familial chylomicronemia syndrome and lipodystrophy were presented, as well as an update on the European lipid metabolism guidelines. The event was characterized by interactive exchanges with the scientific director Dr. Ulrike Schatz, and other speakers.
On November 5, doctors, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and industry representatives met again at the ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) Congress follow-up to learn about the latest developments in cancer therapies. The program included current developments in lung tumors, advances in gynecological oncology, new treatment options for urological tumors, updates on neuro-oncology, and practical insights into head and neck tumors, GI oncology, sarcomas, NETs, and endocrine tumors.
On November 13, the Saxon Transfer Forum in Chemnitz once again provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest developments in the field of knowledge and technology transfer as well as Saxon spin-offs. Held at the co-working and event location “die fabrik Chemnitz,” the event provided the perfect setting to learn about the current state of the German transfer system, including its strengths and weaknesses, and to find out more about topics such as patents and start-up financing.
The 42nd μ Symposium took place in Chemnitz on November 14. Experts from industry and science gathered to learn about the latest developments in braking systems – with a focus on innovation, the environment, and society.
